We have great pleasure in announcing the Save TVNZ 7 Viral Video Competition!
Make a short video about TVNZ 7 and/or public service television and the winning video will be played on Media 7 in a few weeks. Yes, that’s ‘on-air’ on TVNZ 7 introduced by Russell Brown.
‘Here’s your shot at true stardom.’
‘Add 30 seconds to your 15 minutes of fame.’
‘Disgrace yourself nationally.’
‘Say it how it is for public service television.’
‘Add your voice to the many calling to Save TVNZ 7.’
The viral videos can star you, your friends, your pets or even your television. They can be all one take, or a three camera studio shoot. You can spend three days making it or three minutes. We don’t care about picture quality, sound quality, makeup or hair. You don’t have to be smart, pretty or eloquent either. We just want to see attention grabbing videos that get the message out – Save TVNZ 7, save public service television.
So get creative, get noticed or just get out your mobile phone and hit record. Remember to keep your videos short as they’re more likely to be watched if they’re less than 3 minutes.
All the videos will be compiled into a super-viral video to Save TVNZ 7 which will circulate the internet and get played at any events that we get round to organising. The competition ends on 4th of May and the winning video will go to Media7 shortly afterwards.
There’s a couple of ways to get your video to us:
- Post it on You Tube and then email the embedded code or URL to savetvnz7@gmail.com
- Email the vid itself to savetvnz7@gmail.com (make sure it is short and web quality to keep the file size below 20MB)
- Post it on a dvd (not authored please, just a file on the disk) to 88 Sackville Street, Grey Lynn, Auckland 1021
When you contact us please include your name, phone number and email address so we can let you know if you’ve won, and whether to expect to see yourself on Media 7.
We’ll post all videos to www.savetvnz7.co.nz via You Tube and viewers can vote for as many as they wish by choosing ‘like’. The video with the most likes is the winner, simple.
There’s one disclaimer: We know you wouldn’t make a video that is foul, abusive or anti TVNZ 7 but if for some odd reason you did, we reserve the right to not enter it into the competition. Otherwise – go for it.
