Schedule A Review
The Technical Department is undertaking a review of Schedule A, which covers driver and vehicle safety requirements in the sport.
“The review is not about changing the rules but to update the existing material and to standardise its layout and terminology,” said technical manager Julian Leach.
“We needed to bring the terminology we use in line with other motorsport bodies around the world, to include updated safety standards and cover ClubSport logbooks, which are not currently included in the schedule.”
As part of the consultation process, the draft document is being widely circulated to the sport’s commissions, technical officers and circuits for comment.
Feedback will be sought by the end of August and it is planned to publish the new schedule early October.
