To the Minister of Broadcasting and National Government

Radio New Zealand is a national institution which adds daily to our lives as New Zealanders and to the fabric of our society.

While acknowledging these economic times, we affirm that Radio New Zealand deserves your Government's support and encouragement, not an on-going freeze and directions to "reconfigure" services which can only mean reductions in output and quality.

We the electronically under-signed, ask you to follow the Charter obligations you have introduced to Parliament as Minister and ensure Radio New Zealand has the resources to continue providing services of the highest quality, which inform, entertain and enlighten the people of New Zealand.
