Has the cigar-smoking Broadcasting Minister bitten off more than he can chew with his suggestions to Radio NZ to cut services to meet its long-to-be frozen budget?
A Facebook page started up last Thursday after the news broke has impressively attracted nearly 9,000 posts in just four days.
Don’t like to make the comparison as I think this is also an important issue but a Facebook page about the Govt’s designs on Ecan has only a handful of responses.
Nearly all of the posts on Radio NZ are supportive. Kiwis whatever their political allegiances rightly regard Radio NZ as a taonga, a bastion of good news and current affairs and commentary to be treasued. Some are saying it’s a vote-switcher.
I am looking at options to provide further ways to voice the growing concerns. More on that tomorrow…
