Acting Minister Maurice Williamson attempts to suggest Jonathan Coleman has not made specific suggestions for cuts at Radio NZ. In fact the Radio NZ chair last week told the Commerce Select Committee that the Minister has raised ideas about different ways to do things - I believe the 'turn off at midnight" came from him. And ACT's David Garret repeated the M Laws falsehood that Radio NZ doesn't publish its audience shares - they are on its website and show about half a million people listen every week.

Radio New Zealand Concert's Classic Morning has a cume audience of 70,000, Upbeat has 43,000 listeners and Cadenza has 44,000 listeners.
'Cumulative audience' is the number of different listeners to a programme over a week. These audience figures relate to live listening.
