ERO Report Vindicates public ECE provision
The Education Review Office (ERO) recently reviewed the Tauranga Region Kindergartens’ (TRK) Home Based service. The Report established that the service is a high quality one.
“A particular strength of the service is the high levels of trust,
respect and confidence among educators, children and
parents ….Children demonstrate a strong sense of belonging
and show consideration for each other while developing friendships.
They play and learn in safe and familiar home surroundings where
their emotional and social wellbeing is enhanced by nurturing educators.”
The Report can be found on the ERO website at www.ero.govt.nz
TRK’s Home Based Service operates from Whitianga in the north through to Papamoa in the east.
“We are delighted for our staff that ERO have recognised the high quality of the educational programme that we offer,” said TRK Principal, Peter Monteith.
“EROs findings are vindication for the community provision of such services. The non-profit nature of our service assists us to provide a high level of quality,” concluded Mr Monteith.
