Promoting quality in Early Childhood Education

We set up this website as a way of promoting quality early childhood education and what we value in kindergarten. Kindergarten, with our policy of employing 100% qualified and registered teachers, sums up perfectly how serious we are about quality early childhood education, and the benefits it has, not only to the children, but for families and to society as a whole.

We are using the recent budget announcement as an opportunity to communicate why early childhood education is important, what it means for children and families, and what are the things that say a service offers quality. The significant media coverage recently shows that early childhood education is an issue New Zealanders care about.

We welcome you signing up as a supporter. Feel free to contact us through the site and let us know what you think. We welcome parents and grandparents stories about kindergarten, teachers talking about what they do, and how and what children learn at kindergarten. We want to celebrate kindergarten as a part of our community.

Sign up as fan of greatstart100 on facebook. Together we can spread the word that quality early childhood education really counts, and is an investment we value, not a cost to be cut.
