Jim's Inaugural, Asian Discrimination coverage
(Note: a version of this post just went out to the CACR mailing list.)
James Liu Inaugural Lecture
In just a few hours as I write, CACR Deputy Director Prof James Liu will deliver his inaugural lecture “Towards a psychology of global consciousness”. I’m sure the whole CACR community joins me in congratulating Jim!
EXCELL Intercultural Skills – facilitator’s course
We are excited to confirm that the EXCELL train-the-trainers course is on in November! If you work with a multicultural clientele, particularly international students, you will want to look at what this course has to offer. Earlybird registration fees until October 8th!
Human Rights Commission & Asian Discrimination
Our friends at the Human Rights Commission gave CACR a nod in their newsletter “Paenga Hihiko On The Bright Side”.The reason was this very website, and its discussion of discrimination against Asians in NZ. Of course, the Asian discrimination report was a shared project with the HRC.
New content is regularly added to the Asian discrimination page. This week, there are new short videos of replies to the research from Dave Lawry (NZ Police) and Suzana Chang (U. Canty). More videos to come - hop over and check them out!
