I was talking to Councilor Ray Wallace recently, whilst having lunch at the Club actually, and I was struck by his obvious enthusiasm for the potential expansion of the Hutt Valley as an investment opportunity and the ideas including some major possible opportunities’ was just great to hear. Technology City for one, that was considered ions ago. It could have been and is major, especially with the Government now looking at serious funding of projects of this magnitude.
Although, he like me, believes that jobs are created by people not governments and he clearly recognises the importance of industry relationships.
This by all accounts has been sadly lacking within the current Lower Hutt Council executive and by the current Leader of the Pack.
Talking of “Leader of the Pack” it is the major component of the “Barkbuster” dog training programme and in determining just who that it is (leader of the pack that is!) and how to behave in public. Well if the Cap fits wear it!
